LUXURY MOUNTAIN HOME! VERY CONVENIENT SKI ACCESS TO APEX & SUNRISE LIFTS AT SOLITUDE!
Welcome to Basecamp! Our home provides ample space for up to 15 guests, with 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, a great room with views of the mountain, a private hot tub, gourmet kitchen, ski equipment locker room, as well as a large game room with a pool table, Pop-A-Shot (arcade basketball), ping pong table, and parking for up to 4 cars. This home features plenty of windows to let in the natural light and views of the slopes, vaulted ceilings, WiFi, and smart TVs.

MAIN LEVEL:
-Great Room- Big comfy sectional couch, two armchairs, large flat screen smart TV, large gas fireplace, and tons of games/entertainment for all ages!

-Kitchen- Our kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and dinnerware! Tons of tools to help you make a meal for the whole family, including an efficient double oven and 6-burner gas range to speed up the cooking process.

Dining Room - Beautiful wooden dining table that seats up to 12. Adjacent counter seating for 4.

Bedrooms - One Cal. King room with full bathroom, one room with 2 twin beds on this level.

Game Room - A full-sized pool table, smart TV, and hightop table as well as access to the hot tub on the back patio!  Ping Pong Table and Pop-A-Shot located in garage for even more entertainment!

Ski Locker/Laundry Room - Plenty of space (and private cubbies) to store ski gear just off the garage entry! W/D and laundry supplies located in this room as well.

Common Bathroom - Full bathroom with large shower.

UPSTAIRS:
Master Suite - Luxurious master suite with gas fireplace, smart TV, California King mattress, and a full bath with jetted tub and separate shower!

Additional Bedrooms - One spacious room has two queen beds and a full bathroom; another has a queen/twin bunk with twin trundle (perfect for kids!) and a full bathroom; the final upstairs bedroom has a Cal. King bed and full bathroom.

Extra Amenities

Solitude is divided into two areas from which to begin your winter or summer mountain adventures—the lower Moonbeam area and the larger Village base area where Base Camp is located.  Base Camp is inside the gates of Solitude Village, closer to the Apex lift than the shuttle drop off. The Apex Express chairlift is a two-minute walk, one hundred and fifty meters from the house, providing VERY CONVENIENT SKI ACCESS.

Coming back from a day of exploring the mountains?  Winter or summer, you can look forward to the enjoyment of coming back to Base Camp and making a delicious dinner in the spacious, modernly appointed kitchen, hanging out in front of the large fireplace in the great room and watching a movie with family and friends, playing a game of pool in the game room, or taking a relaxing soak in the large hot tub on the back patio before taking a well-deserved rest in one of the gorgeously updated bedrooms.  The entire home exudes warmth, luxury, and comfort that will have you dreaming of coming back every year!!

Solitude Village* offers several dining options a short walk from Base Camp including the Last Chance Southwest Grill, the Thirsty Squirrel, the Library Bar, Stone Haus Pizzeria & Creamery, the Honeycomb Grill, St. Bernard’s or the Yurt.

Whether it is skiing, snowboarding, or snowshoeing in the winter or biking, hiking, or soaking up the sunshine and fresh air in the summer, Base Camp has quick access to all of these activities!   Solitude Resort is right outside your front door, offering quick lift access. Base Camp will provide just that - a great home base to plan your day of adventuring, and a place to reconvene, relax, and rest up for the next day of your vacation!

Summer at Solitude means that the slopes and lifts have been transformed to provide scenic chairlift rides, lift-served mountain biking and hiking, a beautiful 18-hole disc golf course, and more.

Jessica Walker at Cottonwood Lodging was quick to respond & make sure everything was taken care of at Basecamp. After the generator was installed while we were there, there was a problem with the LR fireplace. Jess called & sent over a couple workers until the original installer solved the problem by "bleeding" the lines. She was persistent in making sure we had a working fireplace! Also, when my husband left a computer cord in the house she went out of her way to retrieve it and mail it back to us. She provided great service all around! Thank you again!

We can't recommend Basecamp highly enough! Such a beautiful, huge house for our family of adult children and young grandchildren (14 of us in all)! It was warm and inviting with lots of space to spread out. Everything was brand new after being remodeled in September...lucky us! We had lovely views of the snow-filled yard and it was an easy walk to the ski lifts, restaurants, cross-country ski & snowshoe area. The hot tub was a treat after skiing and it was easy to dry ski clothes in the heated laundry/mud room. We all enjoyed playing board games at the huge dining table. And it was easy to have multiple cooks in the large kitchen. Staff from Cottonwood Lodging was superb. Just an all-around great house in lovely Solitude!

Notes

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE:  Absolutely NO DOGS ALLOWED.  Not only is it illegal to have dogs in Big Cottonwood Canyon due to watershed and forest service regulations but the owners of this property have a serious pet allergy that prohibits animals of any kind.  If staff or neighbors report the presence of dogs, the guests will have to be asked to vacate and pay for additional sanitizing.  We apologize for such strict precautions.  

NO EVENTS, NO PARTIES - Events, weddings, large gatherings, or accomodating more than the designated number of people a booked property is advertised to sleep is not permissible at ANY property that the Cottonwood Lodging Company (CLC) manages. Due to restrictive ordinances and the desires of CLC owners to preserve the peace and tranquility of neighbors and our community, these "events" are not permitted, ever, as they can be disruptive and are additional wear and tear on the property and grounds. We apologize for the limitations this may put on your plans to stay with us, but please understand that CLC must (and will) make every effort to monitor, enforce and protect the interest of our owners and our community.  In the event, you are found to have violated this rule you may face potential legal or financial penalties.

Reservation Deposit: A 35% deposit is required at time of booking. The balance of the rental fee will be automatically processed 30 days prior to occupancy. If there is a problem processing the balance by this date, Cottonwood Lodging Company (CLC) reserves the right to rent the accommodation to another party and the deposit payment will be forfeited.

Security Deposit: A valid credit card will be required at the time of booking and held on file. After the Renter has checked out, CLC will inspect the property for damages.  Any damage, missing inventory, or other unpaid charges will be discussed with you and billed to your credit card.
