Description

Recently updated, Storm Mountain Escape is nestled in the woods in the Silver Fork community just one mile down canyon from Solitude Ski Resort.  With four bedrooms (4 queen beds and 2 bunk beds), two bathrooms, a spacious living room, and a game room and home theater downstairs, it's the perfect cabin for family vacations or gatherings of up to 12 people. . The theater room also houses a full-sized Murphy bed suitable for 1-2 guests.  Outside, you'll find a gas grill on the large deck that spans the back of the house. Stable WiFi and full-sized Washer/Dryer included. 

MAIN LEVEL:
-Family Room- Large sectional, two-story windows and back deck access, a cozy fireplace, and an upright piano to gather around!

-Kitchen- Updated stove/oven and fridge and a great range of cooking tools to provide your family and friends with hearty meals.

UPSTAIRS:
-Master Bedroom- Spacious Queen bedroom with dresser and closet space.

-Queen and Bunk Bedrooms- Two upstairs bedrooms, both with one queen bed and one twin/twin bunk each.

DOWNSTAIRS:
-Game Room- You'll find shuffleboard and foosball tables down here -there is also a vast range of toys for the kids!

-Home Theater- Our theater room features an Epson projector and pull-down screen, Pioneer sound system, satellite TV, and a DVD player. A comfy couch and armchair provide seating, and there is a Murphy bed tucked away for an extra sleeping option with bedding provided!

We LOVED Storm Mountain Escape. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It was beyond comfortable and such a fun, cozy space. The kitchen had everything we needed and the cabin was spotless. The home theater in the basement was the best part for us!

Thank you and thank you. While there were some hiccups with the lodge itself, the service made up for it. To be frank, I was pretty surprised at the "owner fees" when booking. They were on top of the cleaning fees and significant (I think $325?). I bit the bullet and booked anyway. The superior service lightened the blow.

I traveled A LOT (pre-Covid) for business and vacations and am accustomed to superior service. The people at Cottonwood Lodging were shockingly on top of all of our needs. We had a few minor issues during our stay at Storm Mountain Escape and they made sure that everything was taken care of in a very timely manner. The staff was friendly, helpful, and if I could give them six stars...I would. The cabin was very homey and perfect for what we were looking for; a great escape for my family (wife and six children). My oldest son is leaving our home shortly for a few years of service and we wanted to have a great place to create some last minute family memories. It was a "10" and we would go back in a heartbeat.

Great location in Big Cottonwood Canyon near Solitude and Brighton. Would highly recommend this house!

Notes

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE:  Absolutely NO DOGS ALLOWED.  Not only is it illegal to have dogs in Big Cottonwood Canyon due to watershed and forest service regulations but the owners of this property have a serious pet allergy that prohibits animals of any kind.  If staff or neighbors report the presence of dogs, the guests will have to be asked to vacate and pay for additional sanitizing.  We apologize for such strict precautions.  

Events, weddings, large gatherings, or accomodating more than the designated number of people a booked property is advertised to sleep is not permissible at ANY property that the Cottonwood Lodging Company (CLC) manages. Due to restrictive ordinances and the desires of CLC owners to preserve the peace and tranquility of neighbors and our community, these "events" are not permitted, ever, as they can be disruptive and are additional wear and tear on the property and grounds. We apologize for the limitations this may put on your plans to stay with us, but please understand that CLC must (and will) make every effort to monitor, enforce and protect the interest of our owners and our community.  In the event, you are found to have violated this rule you may face potential legal or financial penalties.

Reservation Deposit: A 35% deposit is required at time of booking. The balance of the rental fee will be automatically processed 30 days prior to occupancy. If there is a problem processing the balance by this date, Cottonwood Lodging Company (CLC) reserves the right to rent the accommodation to another party and the deposit payment will be forfeited.

Security Deposit: A valid credit card will be required at the time of booking and held on file. After the Renter has checked out, CLC will inspect the property for damages.  Any damage, missing inventory, or other unpaid charges will be discussed with you and billed to your credit card.
